Respect for Life |
|
| |
- The purpose of the "right to life committee" is to broaden the parish's knowledge and awareness concerning the "right to life". The "right to life" begins at conception and continues until a natural death. The committee deals with parish education concerning abortion, the death penalty, and euthanasia.
The committee places leaflets in the weekly bulletin. We also place posters in an area where they can be seen, and we have the Priest read announcements pertaining to "the right to life". We provide flowers on mother's day and help with the baby bank program. Materials are obtained by mail-outs from the dioceses, and by attending workshops. Members need to be friendly as well as strong in the Catholic faith.

St. Vincent de Paul |

- Inspired by Gospel values, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, a Catholic lay organization, leads women and men to join together to grow spirituality by offering person-to-person service to the needy.
The society meets the first Sunday and the third Tuesday of each month. We receive our funding through the monthly blue bag collections and supplement that with various fund raisers throughout the year. 100% of all monies raised goes to helping the poor and needy within our parish boundaries.
Our largest projects are the Christmas Giving Tree and the Children's Summer Food Drive. If interested in joining the Society please contact the church.
